TCS Launches Industrial AI Foundry, Targets 25% Faster Product Development
The platform provides a repository of configurable AI agents, workflows and governance capabilities.
Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has launched the TCS Industrial Intelligence Foundry, an artificial intelligence offering designed to help industrial enterprises move from AI experimentation to large-scale deployment across engineering and manufacturing operations.
The platform provides a repository of configurable AI agents, workflows and governance capabilities to accelerate enterprise AI adoption across aerospace, mobility, semiconductors, medical devices, industrial electronics, utilities and energy.

Unlike general-purpose generative AI platforms and horizontal copilots, the Foundry offers industry-specific AI applications designed to integrate with existing enterprise workflows.
TCS said the solution could reduce new product introduction timelines by 25% and improve manufacturing productivity by 20-25%. Productivity gains could exceed 40% as organisations mature their data foundations and operating ecosystems.
The offering supports use cases across the industrial lifecycle, including product design and validation, manufacturing optimisation, asset performance, quality and compliance management, and workforce enablement. It combines domain-specific applications with agentic AI and multi-agent workflow orchestration to automate tasks and support decision-making.
The platform also uses a Human+AI Service Autonomy Model to augment decision-making across engineering, manufacturing and field operations while retaining human oversight.
With the Industrial Intelligence Foundry, TCS is helping enterprises to deploy domain-specific AI applications at scale that can accelerate autonomy and translate industrial knowledge into scalable business outcomes,” Sreenivasa Chakravarti, TCS VP, Global Head, Industrial Autonomy and Engineering, added.
Industrial Intelligence Foundry is TCS’ bet to fill this gap with domain-specific AI, with the potential for significant business impact, scaling AI Implementations and not just another agentic AI project,” Ramachandran S, HFS Research Practice Leader, Engineering and Manufacturing, said.
TCS said the platform's context-aware AI capabilities combine domain knowledge, engineering data, industry standards, operational constraints and lifecycle information to generate relevant recommendations. Its model-agnostic architecture is designed to provide flexibility across AI ecosystems.
The launch reflects growing demand for industrial AI applications that can move beyond pilot projects to deliver measurable operational improvements at scale.
