Persistent Systems Names Kavitha Srinivasulu as Chief Cyber and AI Security Officer

Persistent Systems has appointed Kavitha Srinivasulu as Vice President and Chief Cyber & AI Security Officer, expanding her responsibilities across cybersecurity, AI security, risk advisory and digital transformation.

Srinivasulu announced the appointment on LinkedIn, saying she will work with customers, C-suite executives and leadership teams to help organisations address emerging technology risks while adopting AI with security, resilience and trust at the core.

She joins Persistent after more than four years at Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), where she most recently served as Programme Director for Cybersecurity and Data Privacy, Process Optimisation and Digital Transformation. She previously held roles at TCS as a Cybersecurity Services and Security Architect and Global Head of Cyber Risk & Data Privacy for BFSI.

Her career spans more than two decades across cybersecurity, risk management, data privacy, governance and technology. Before TCS, Srinivasulu was Vice President and Head of Cybersecurity at GAVS Technologies, where she worked on cybersecurity leadership, technology and solution architecture.

She has also held cybersecurity and resilience roles at AstraZeneca and Wipro, in addition to senior positions at Bank of America and Verizon.

Srinivasulu also holds several industry and advisory positions. She has been a board member of Women in CyberSecurity India since 2023, an executive committee member of the CyberEdBoard Community and an ambassador for the Information Sharing and Analysis Center. She has also served as an advisory member of the National Cyber Defence Research Centre since 2025.

In her new role at Persistent, Srinivasulu said her focus will be on helping organisations navigate the risks emerging from increasingly widespread AI adoption while enabling secure transformation and trusted innovation.

“I look forward to partnering with customers and teams to enable secure transformation, trusted innovation and sustainable business value in the AI era,” Srinivasulu said.

Srinivasulu holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science from Sriram Engineering College.
