Top 5 Voice AI Startups in India in 2026
Indian startups are now building speech models, autonomous voice agents, enterprise contact-centre automation and multilingual conversational systems for banks, insurers, governments, e-commerce companies and millions of citizens.

The companies are targeting a shift beyond conversational AI systems that primarily answer questions. Instead, the collaboration will explore agentic voice experiences where a voice call becomes an interface through which AI agents can execute tasks, moving enterprises from scripted interactive voice response systems toward AI call agents capable of completing work.

“Voice is one of the most natural interfaces for human interaction, but enterprise voice automation requires much more than simply converting speech to text and generating a response. The real opportunity is to build an AI voice calling agent that can hear, understand the context, reason about what needs to happen and then execute securely inside the enterprise,” said Krupesh Bhat, Melento Founder & CEO.

Gnani AI brings speech and language models covering speech-to-text, text-to-speech, speech-to-speech and language models. The company said its technology is deployed across more than 200 enterprises globally and processes more than 30 million voice interactions daily, including in environments involving multiple languages, accents, noisy telephony and sensitive customer interactions.

“Our focus at Gnani AI has always been on building Voice AI for the realities of enterprise environments — multiple languages, accents, noisy telephony and sensitive customer interactions. Exploring how this voice intelligence can work with Melento's agentic orchestration capabilities opens up interesting possibilities for enterprises looking to automate voice-led workflows at scale,” said Ganesh Gopalan, Gnani AI CEO and Co-founder.

The companies will explore applications across customer and employee experiences, including voice-led onboarding and KYC with e-sign and e-stamp, banking journeys, contract negotiations, collections, employee onboarding, policy acknowledgments and internal approvals.

The collaboration is particularly aimed at regulated and multilingual sectors such as BFSI, insurance, pharma and legal, where voice interactions can involve sensitive information, authentication and complex workflows.
