Tenable Launches Open-Source CyberAgents Exchange to Help Security Teams Build AI Defenses

Tenable has launched the CyberAgents Exchange, an open-source marketplace for AI-powered cybersecurity agents, skills, Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers and multi-agent playbooks.

Tenable describes the platform as the first cybersecurity-focused registry of its kind, designed to help security teams share, discover and collaborate on AI components instead of building them in isolation.

CyberAgents Exchange provides a free, vendor-agnostic platform where practitioners can contribute reusable AI components with full code visibility and peer validation.

More than 50 open-source AI components are already available on the platform, including vulnerability management agents, threat hunting skills, MCP servers and automated attack path analysis tools.

Industry heavyweights like SentinelOne and Recorded Future have joined the initiative as founding members and will contribute AI agents, integration frameworks and security playbooks to the community.

The launch coincides with SWARM: The Cybersecurity Agentic AI Build Event, hosted by Tenable during Black Hat USA 2026 with sponsorship from AWS and support from Anthropic. The multi-day event will bring together cybersecurity professionals to develop open-source AI agents, MCP servers and security skills.

The new capabilities introduce a connected fleet of AI agents that work together as an autonomous security workforce, enabling organisations to continuously identify, prioritise, and remediate cyber risks without requiring analysts to repeatedly trigger workflows or enter prompts manually.
