Infosys Expands ABN AMRO Partnership to Modernise Banking Systems With AI
The companies intend to extend AI adoption beyond individual projects and apply it across the bank’s broader technology environment.
Infosys has expanded its engagement with Dutch lender ABN AMRO Bank to modernise its technology infrastructure, improve operational efficiency and accelerate AI adoption across the bank’s operations.
Under the expanded collaboration, Infosys will provide application development, testing and support services, leveraging Infosys Topaz, its AI platform incorporating generative and agentic AI technologies.

“The renewed collaboration with Infosys will help further to simplify and modernise our IT landscape, while accelerating the responsible adoption of AI across the company. This engagement will enhance operational efficiency, deliver greater customer value, and help reduce complexity and operating costs,” Carsten Bittner, ABN AMRO Bank Chief Innovation and Technology Officer, said.
“We are bringing together deep domain expertise, a resilient global delivery model, and the power of Infosys Topaz to help re-architect core systems, simplify complex IT landscapes, and operationalise AI in a purposeful way. Our focus is not just on transformation at scale, but on delivering it with precision, efficiency, and long-term sustainability for the bank,” Jay Nair, Infosys EVP, Industry Head, Financial Service and Public Sector, added.
The companies intend to extend AI adoption beyond individual projects and apply it across the bank’s broader technology environment. Infosys will draw on its financial services expertise and AI capabilities to help re-architect core systems and operationalise AI.
The partnership dates back to 2019, when Infosys announced a strategic collaboration with ABN AMRO alongside its acquisition of a 75% stake in Stater, the bank’s mortgage-services subsidiary. ABN AMRO retained the remaining 25% stake.
