Synopsys has partnered with the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) as a Technology Solution Provider for Dx-EDGE, a national initiative to accelerate digital transformation among India’s Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).

Through the collaboration, Synopsys will work with the Dx-EDGE ecosystem to improve MSMEs’ access to digital engineering technologies and expertise, including simulation and computer-aided engineering (CAE) capabilities from its Ansys portfolio.

Together, the three products create a connected operating platform designed to help businesses improve productivity, make faster decisions, and build a stronger foundation for AI adoption.

Dx-EDGE brings together MSMEs, academia, technology providers and government stakeholders to address technology adoption and strengthen digital capabilities across India’s small and medium businesses.

As part of the partnership, Synopsys will conduct expert-led knowledge sessions, technology demonstrations, training programmes and technology showcases to help MSMEs understand how engineering simulation can improve product development, operational efficiency and competitiveness.

“MSMEs are an important engine of India's industrial growth. Enabling broader access to advanced engineering technologies is essential to strengthening their competitiveness and innovation capacity. Through our engagement with Dx-EDGE, MSMEs will gain greater access to engineering simulation through technology demonstrations, knowledge-sharing initiatives, and hands-on training,” said Murali Pullela, Synopsys Country Head (Simulation & Analysis).

Delivery is scheduled for the second quarter of 2027.

The company will engage with MSMEs and technical institutions through Dx-EDGE’s network of Digital Transformation Facilitation Centres (DTFCs). These centres allow students and faculty to work with MSMEs on digital transformation initiatives while gaining practical exposure to industry requirements.

“Collaborating with Synopsys as our Technology Solution Provider will strengthen this effort and bring advanced engineering simulation capabilities closer to MSMEs and technical institutions. This will allow India’s MSMEs to explore practical applications of cutting edge technologies for better productivity and competitiveness,” said Ponnuswami M, Dx-EDGE CII Chairman.

Synopsys will also list its Ansys products and services on the Dx-EDGE platform and provide relevant training modules. Participating MSMEs can undergo a Digital Maturity Diagnostic to identify technology gaps, followed by a customised roadmap for phased digital adoption.

The partnership is intended to expand access to advanced simulation technologies and support a more digitally capable and competitive Indian manufacturing ecosystem.
