Basan Gouda S has spent nearly two decades at JSW Energy, progressing through senior IT leadership roles
JSW Energy has promoted Basan Gouda S to Vice President and Head – IT & Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), taking charge of the company’s technology and cybersecurity functions.
Gouda announced his new role on LinkedIn as JSW Energy continues to expand across power generation, renewable energy, energy storage, transmission and power trading. The appointment brings enterprise IT and information security under a combined leadership mandate as the company scales its technology infrastructure.

Basan Gouda S has spent nearly two decades at JSW Energy, progressing through senior IT leadership roles. He joined as AGM – IT in 2007, later becoming DGM IT, GM – IT & Digital and AVP, Head – IT. In April 2026, he was appointed Vice President and Head – IT & CISO.
Gouda’s role comes as the company’s growing operational footprint increases the importance of resilient digital infrastructure and cybersecurity. His responsibilities will span IT operations and information security, supporting the company’s technology needs across its expanding businesses and geographies.
