Workday Launches AI-Powered Learning Platform With Sana to Personalise Employee Training

Workday has announced the general availability of Workday Learning, powered by Sana, an AI-driven learning platform to help enterprises deliver personalised employee training by combining AI with workforce data.

The solution integrates Workday's Human Capital Management (HCM) data with Sana's AI-native learning technology to create tailored learning experiences based on an employee's role, skills, location, and career goals.

The platform introduces an AI tutor that provides real-time guidance, explains complex concepts, recommends learning paths, and enables employees to ask questions in natural language.

It also includes AI-powered tools for learning teams to convert PDFs, presentations, and existing course material into interactive training modules, generate quizzes, simplify policy documents, and translate courses into multiple languages.

According to Workday, organisations using the AI authoring capabilities have reduced content creation time by up to 98%, cutting production cycles from weeks to hours.

The platform also automates assignments, compliance campaigns, and learning administration while allowing organisations to measure learning outcomes against business metrics such as skills development, performance, internal mobility, and employee retention.

"Checking the box isn't the same as building a skill. With a personal AI tutor, interactive quizzes, and learning tailored to each employee's role and skills, Workday Learning, powered by Sana, turns required training into engaging experiences employees can apply in their day-to-day work," said Joel Hellermark, Workday Chief AI Officer.

"We're evolving our learning ecosystem to be more intelligent, personalised, and aligned to the changing needs of our clients. Workday Learning, powered by Sana, is an important part of that journey and builds on top of the Accenture LearnVantage foundation," said Colin Anderson, Accenture Chief Operating Officer, HR.

"At The Josh Bersin Company, we shifted our learning business to an AI-first model using Sana, moving thousands of learners into an interactive, always-on environment and converting a large library of programs into interactive courses in months rather than years," Josh Bersin, Global Industry Analyst & The Josh Bersin Company CEO, added.

The platform is now available globally for Workday HCM customers, while organisations that do not use Workday's HR or finance products can access Sana Learn as a standalone offering.
