Automation Anywhere to Acquire Boost.ai in Push to Build ‘Autonomous Enterprise’

Automation Anywhere has agreed to acquire conversational AI company Boost.ai from Nordic Capital to expand its agentic automation platform into customer-facing operations.

The acquisition would bring Boost.ai’s conversational and voice AI capabilities into Automation Anywhere’s broader push toward the “Autonomous Enterprise,” which the company defines as an operating model where business functions can run up to 80% autonomously or with AI assistance.

Why Enterprise AI Stalls After the Pilot Stage: Lessons from an IT Leader
In this interview with The Left Shift, Abhradeep Chatterjee, Associate Director at NTT DATA Services, argues that enterprises are asking the wrong question. Instead of focusing on whether AI models work, leaders should ask whether AI can transform how the business operates.

The deal follows Automation Anywhere’s acquisition of enterprise AI company Aisera in late 2025, which added employee service and enterprise knowledge capabilities to its platform.

"Now with Boost.ai, plus Aisera which we acquired last year, Automation Anywhere intends to be the leading enterprise AI company to drive autonomous work from the front- to the back-office, with an autonomous operation that listens, decides, and acts across the whole business. No one else will connect the conversation to the finished work in a single offering the way we will. This is the Autonomous Enterprise in action," said Mihir Shukla, Automation Anywhere CEO and Chairman.

Boost.ai serves hundreds of organisations, particularly in Europe and regulated sectors including financial services, telecommunications and insurance. Its platform supports more than 36 languages and combines natural language understanding with generative and agentic AI.

TechWolf’s platform uses a proprietary data model called a “context graph for work” to continuously map an organisation’s work and skills.
"Closing the gap between conversation and the completion of work is the biggest opening in CX today. Thats exactly what Automation Anywhere does, and its why we believe this fit is so strong. Together we see a future where every customer conversation, in any channel, ends with the problem solved, and where the best customer experience is the one that never needs a follow-up," said Jerry Haywood, Boost.ai CEO.

Automation Anywhere said the combination would allow customer requests expressed through voice, chat or digital channels to trigger downstream workflows across enterprise applications. The company also expects to connect customer operations with its existing employee and business operations capabilities.

"With Boost.ai, we would complete what we call the Conversation-to-Outcome Loop. A customer or employee expresses what they need; AI understands the intent and context; it reasons within company rules, coordinates agents, people and systems; and finally executes the work across connected enterprise applications and systems required to deliver the outcome," said Ankur Kothari, Automation Anywhere Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer.

The transaction is expected to close in Q4 2026, subject to regulatory approvals and other customary closing conditions.
