Redacto Raises ₹12 Crore to Power India’s Privacy-Tech Revolution
The funds will be used to enhance its AI capabilities, expand product and engineering teams, and scale enterprise adoption across India.
Redacto, an AI-driven privacy infrastructure startup building next-generation enterprise data governance systems, has raised ₹12 crore in a seed round led by PeerCapital and Antler India, with participation from select angel investors.
The funds will be used to enhance its AI capabilities, expand product and engineering teams, and scale enterprise adoption across India.
The funding comes as India prepares to implement the Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act, which will redefine how companies collect, store, and manage personal data.
Redacto aims to help enterprises turn compliance into a competitive advantage by embedding trust and transparency at the core of their operations.
Founded in 2025 by Shashank Karincheti and Amit Kumar, Redacto automates privacy compliance and sensitive data governance through AI-powered tools.
The company already serves leading payment companies and NBFCs and is attracting interest from banks, fintechs, and insurers preparing for DPDP compliance aligned with global standards like GDPR and CCPA.
“The DPDP Act marks the beginning of a privacy-first era for Indian enterprises. Our goal is to make privacy practical, continuous, and scalable. Redacto is built to turn compliance into confidence,” Karincheti, Co-Founder & CPO, Redacto, said.
“AI isn't just changing business—it's redefining it,” added Kumar, Co-Founder & CEO. “As a full-stack data privacy company, we deliver intelligent, end-to-end data governance through AI-first automation, enabling enterprises to innovate without the burden of compliance.”
Karthik Prabhakar, Managing Partner at PeerCapital, said, “Redacto is positioned right at the heart of this inflection point. The team’s domain expertise in cybersecurity and enterprise technology gives them a unique edge in building scalable privacy infrastructure for the next decade.”
Redacto’s AI-powered suite integrates data discovery, consent management, vendor risk assessment, and compliance reporting into one unified platform—helping enterprises maintain real-time privacy visibility while cutting operational costs.
