Intel and MeitY Join Forces to Boost AI Skills & Education in India
Key programmes include YuvaAI, introducing school students to AI

Intel India has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with IndiaAI – Digital India Corporation, under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), to advance artificial intelligence capabilities and education in the country.
The partnership supports the IndiaAI Mission through initiatives aimed at students, startups, and public officials.
Key programmes include YuvaAI, introducing school students to AI; AI for Future Workforce, offering college-level training; StartupAI, providing mentorship and resources for startups; and IndiaAI Dialogues, which builds AI readiness among policymakers.
The partnership also focuses on Bhashini, scaling AI-powered multilingual tools in classrooms to bridge language gaps.
Santhosh Viswanathan, Vice President and Managing Director (India region) at Intel, highlighted the partnership as a vital milestone in strengthening India’s AI capabilities.
“By equipping students, startups, and public sector leaders with cutting-edge AI skills and frugal innovation tools, we aim to accelerate innovation, break down barriers and generate positive societal impact,” he said.
