Entire Launches India Data Residency, Opens Founding Builders Programme
The startup is also introducing a Founding Builders Programme for Indian startups.
AI-native developer platform Entire has expanded into India with local data residency for Git repositories to improve Git hosting performance for developers and AI coding agents.
India is home to one of the world's fastest-growing developer ecosystems. The startup, founded by former GitHub CEO Thomas Dohmke, said developers in India can now mirror both public and private GitHub repositories and pin repository data locally on Entire's distributed Git network.
The move is designed to reduce latency and support the growing use of AI coding agents, which frequently clone, fetch, and synchronize repositories at a much higher rate than human developers.
According to GitHub, there are over 17 million developers in India, making it the second-largest developer community after the United States. In 2025, India added more than 5.2 million developers, accounting for a little over 14% of GitHub’s total +36 million new developers in 2025.

He added that the startup is also introducing a Founding Builders Programme for Indian startups, enterprises, and open-source maintainers to help shape its broader developer platform, which will include native repositories and an intent-driven software development lifecycle.
Entire is building an AI-native developer platform designed for collaboration between humans and AI agents. The startup emerged from stealth in February after raising a record $60 million seed round led by Felicis at a $300 million valuation, with participation from Madrona, Microsoft's M12, Basis Set, 20VC, Cherry Ventures, Picus Capital, and Global Founders Capital.
Its first product, Checkpoints, captures AI agent context alongside every Git commit to improve transparency and collaboration in AI-assisted software development.
