Aerospike Names Don Dama as CEO as Company Eyes Enterprise AI Growth
Dama joins Aerospike after serving as senior vice president and general manager at SingleStore.
Aerospike has appointed Don Dama as its new chief executive officer (CEO) as enterprises move AI from experimentation to operational reality.
"Don has spent his career walking into companies at exactly this moment, the one where the product finally works and they need someone who has scaled things before to take them to the next level," Srini V. Srinivasan, Aerospike CTO & Founder, said.
Dama joins Aerospike after serving as senior vice president and general manager at SingleStore, where he was involved in scaling the company’s go-to-market operations. He previously held senior leadership roles at Mirantis, Robin.io, Infor, Endeca, Oracle and i2 Technologies.
At SingleStore, Dama said he helped drive more than 300% incremental ARR growth and secured 19 new enterprise customers, including six Fortune 500 companies. At Mirantis, he led the Americas business and helped scale revenue from $60 million to $113 million.

Aerospike is positioning its real-time data platform as infrastructure for operational AI, providing enterprises with the data, context and decisioning capabilities needed as AI agents increasingly interact with business systems.

Aerospike has continued expanding its real-time database platform for AI workloads, with Database 8.1.2 released in April 2026. The company has increasingly positioned its database around enterprise AI applications requiring real-time data and low-latency decision-making.
