Salesforce Unveils MuleSoft Agent Fabric to Tackle ‘Agent Sprawl’ in Enterprises

India, October 3, 2025 — Salesforce has announced MuleSoft Agent Fabric, a new platform aimed at addressing the growing problem of “agent sprawl” as businesses rapidly adopt artificial intelligence.

The company recently announced the launch of 'Agentforce for Public Sector' in India.

According to the company, the rise of AI agents across teams, platforms, and vendors has created fragmented workflows, redundant automations, and compliance risks, making governance and security increasingly difficult.

MuleSoft Agent Fabric acts as a central hub — or “air traffic controller” — ensuring that AI agents from different systems can collaborate securely and effectively. The platform provides four core capabilities: a Registry for discovering and cataloging agents, a Broker for intelligent orchestration, Governance to enforce security and compliance, and a Visualiser for transparency into agent interactions.

Use cases range from mortgage automation and real-time supply chain logistics to partner onboarding, where MuleSoft Agent Fabric ensures seamless handoffs between specialised agents while maintaining compliance.

Executives and customers emphasised its importance. “The reality is, most enterprises live in a multi-vendor world, and that won’t change with AI… MuleSoft Agent Fabric gives every organisation the ability to govern and orchestrate all their agents in a cohesive and trusted way,” said Andrew Comstock, SVP and GM of MuleSoft, Salesforce.

Greg Shewmaker, CEO of r.Potential, added: “MuleSoft Agent Fabric gives us the foundation to orchestrate thousands of agents at scale, securely and in real time. It’s more than coordination — it’s the connective tissue for the next generation of enterprise intelligence.”

Other partners echoed the focus on governance. “As AI agents become critical in processes that drive our day-to-day business operations, governance and transparency are non-negotiable. MuleSoft Agent Fabric provides the guardrails we need to adopt AI responsibly and securely, without slowing down innovation,” said Joris Diependaele, Head of Integration and AI, Barco.

“We can retain control over the infrastructure and also leverage our existing ecosystem to build our agentic future. This hybrid approach gives us the flexibility in solutioning across the organisation,” Karthik Palani, Sr Mgr – Eng & Integrations, Wynn and Encore Las Vegas

Availability is set for October 2025, with Agent Registry, Broker, and Visualiser scheduled for general release, while Governance features are already available.

Earlier this month, the Software-as-Service (SaaS) giant also launched a new business unit called Missionforce, aimed at weaving artificial intelligence into defense operations.

Announced Tuesday, Missionforce will apply AI across personnel, logistics, and decision-making areas the company says are critical to modern defense.
