Chhattisgarh CM Inaugurates ₹1000 Cr AI-Focused Data Centre Park in Raipur

On May 4, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai inaugurated one of India’s first AI-driven data centre parks in Raipur. With an estimated investment of ₹1000 crore over the next two years, the project is poised to become a major digital infrastructure hub in the region.

Developed across 13.5 acres—including 2.7 hectares designated as a Special Economic Zone—the park is being managed by RackBank Data Centres.

It will focus exclusively on artificial intelligence services, launching with an initial capacity of 80 MW in its first phase, eventually scaling up to 150 MW. The state government has also signaled the possibility of an additional ₹2000 crore investment in the future.

The facility will support a wide array of sectors, including AI, Health Tech, Defence, Fintech, and Data Analytics. It will feature advanced GPU-powered computing systems for AI processing, live data streaming, and large-scale storage and computation.

"Honoured to have the Hon’ble CM of Chhattisgarh shri Vishnu Deo Sai along with Finance & Urban Minister and Industry Minister, join us for the groundbreaking ceremony of RackBank’s AI Datacenter Park. Proud moment for our team. Our first building goes live before year-end — powering India’s AI future," founder & CEO at RackBank Narendra Sen, said.

Beyond enterprise applications, the data centre park aims to deliver cutting-edge AI solutions for agriculture and education.

The project is expected to generate around 500 direct and 1,500 indirect jobs, and handle both national and international data traffic—bolstering government services and advancing Chhattisgarh's goal of becoming a digitally self-reliant state.

“This is not just a data centre; it’s the digital backbone for a new era of growth and empowerment,” said CM Vishnu Deo Sai at the inauguration. He added that Chhattisgarh could become the heartbeat of Digital India.
