German tech giant SAP is set to launch a new Centre of Excellence (CoE) in Bengaluru by August 2025, with a seating capacity of 15,000.

The facility will bolster SAP’s global and Indian business operations, especially in product engineering and development.

At SAP Sapphire 2025, SAP Executive Board Member Muhammad Alam highlighted India’s critical role, noting that the Bengaluru centre is one of the company's largest and most self-sufficient engineering hubs.

Manish Prasad, President and MD of SAP Indian Subcontinent, confirmed the centre will be operational by mid-year, reinforcing India’s status as a strategic growth engine for SAP.

With over 15,000 Indian customers and more than 425,000 globally, SAP’s Bengaluru R&D centre is its second-largest outside Germany.
