Salesforce to Acquire Momentum to Boost Agentforce and Slackbot With Conversational Intelligence

Salesforce has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Momentum, a conversational insights and revenue orchestration startup, in a move aimed at strengthening its agentic AI capabilities across enterprise workflows. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The acquisition is designed to extend the functionality of Salesforce’s Agentforce 360 and Slackbot platforms by enabling them to ingest and analyze unstructured data from third-party voice and video tools such as Zoom and Google Meet.

Momentum’s technology captures conversational data from meetings and calls, transforming it into structured insights that can be used to automate workflows and drive revenue outcomes.

As AI agents take on larger roles in enterprise operations, Salesforce is betting that deeper visibility into customer interactions will be essential. Momentum’s ingestion engine will allow Agentforce 360 and Slackbot to pull in context from conversations across external platforms, giving AI systems a richer understanding of customer intent and enabling more complex, multi-step automation.

“To deliver on the promise of agents, we need visibility and context from every meaningful interaction,” said Steve Fisher, President and Chief Product Officer at Salesforce. “Momentum accelerates our roadmap by unlocking the long tail of conversational data and bringing it directly into our platform. This ensures Agentforce 360 and Slackbot can incorporate the true voice of the customer to drive complex, multi-step workflows.”

“We founded Momentum to bridge the gap between unstructured conversation and structured action,” said Santiago Suarez Ordoñez, CEO and Co-Founder of Momentum. “Joining Salesforce allows us to close the loop for GTM teams, transforming the static audio of a meeting into structured intelligence that drives immediate revenue impact.”

The transaction is expected to close in the first quarter of Salesforce’s fiscal year 2027, subject to customary closing conditions.
