Replit’s Smarter AI Agent Can Now Think Deeper, Search the Web, and Build Better Apps
The upgrades are designed to help users build applications faster, smarter, and with greater precision.

Replit has unveiled a major upgrade to its AI-powered coding assistant, Replit Agent, introducing three new capabilities that mark a leap toward greater autonomy and intelligence.
The new features—Extended Thinking, High Power Model, and Web Search—equip the Agent with deeper reasoning, real-time information access, and enhanced adaptability to tackle complex development tasks with minimal input.

The Extended Thinking mode allows the Agent to slow down and think more deeply, sharing step-by-step reasoning for thorough, accurate results—ideal for debugging or tackling open-ended challenges.
The High Power Model boosts performance by tapping into a more capable AI engine, making it suitable for demanding tasks like UI redesigns, complex logic integration, or optimizing application performance.
Web Search, enabled by default, lets the Agent intelligently browse the internet to fill knowledge gaps and ensure up-to-date answers. Users can toggle these features per request, tailoring the Agent’s behavior to match their specific goals.
“With these updates, Replit Agent becomes more context-aware and goal-driven—capable of navigating ambiguity, adapting in real-time, and delivering full solutions,” the company stated.
The upgrades are designed to help users build applications faster, smarter, and with greater precision. Replit encourages developers to try the smarter Agent today.
