New Relic Unveils AI-Driven Observability Innovations Linking Performance to Business Impact

New Relic announced a broad set of platform innovations aimed at connecting application performance directly to customer experience and business outcomes, as enterprises grapple with increasingly complex AI-powered systems.

At the centre of the update is Intelligent Workloads, a capability that automates the discovery of complex system dependencies and aligns technical health with business KPIs.

The company said the feature enables organizations to quantify how service performance affects metrics such as revenue, abandoned carts and user experience, moving beyond traditional red-or-green system indicators.

“For organisations, the risk is no longer just outages, it’s being blind to business impact. If teams can’t quickly and confidently answer what changed, how their customers were impacted, or how revenue was impaired, decisions slow down while risk quietly compounds. Drawing on our roots in APM, we’ve evolved monitoring to stay ahead of customer needs and directly align with business metrics,” said New Relic Chief Product Officer Brian Emerson.

The company also introduced enhancements to Digital Experience Monitoring for micro front-end architectures, new Agentic AI Monitoring capabilities with service maps and trace visibility, and AI-powered tools such as New Relic Lens, Federated Logs, eBPF Network Metrics and New Relic Notebooks.

Intelligent Workloads is available in preview for Transaction 360 users, while the remaining features are in preview for all customers.
