Wipro Teams Up with Cropin to Power Climate-Smart AI Agriculture

IT services major Wipro has announced a strategic partnership with agri-tech firm Cropin to modernize the global agribusiness sector using AI-powered and climate-resilient technologies.

The collaboration will combine Cropin’s intelligent agriculture platform with Wipro’s global reach and deep technology expertise to help food and agri-enterprises build smarter, more transparent, and sustainable supply chains.

“Climate change, geopolitical instability, and trade tensions are reshaping the agribusiness landscape. At the same time, regulatory pressures like the EUDR and rising demand for traceability are forcing companies to rethink how they operate. This partnership with Wipro is a strategic step toward building data-driven, climate-resilient, and compliant supply chains at scale,” Krishna Kumar, founder and CEO of Cropin, said.

While aimed at the agribusiness sector, the joint solutions are expected to impact adjacent industries such as retail, packaged foods, food service, and restaurant chains—all of which face similar challenges in maintaining operational agility under changing climate and consumer expectations.

“AI is redefining how agribusinesses operate—from sourcing and production to distribution, compliance, and sustainability,” Shiva Jayaraman, SVP and sector head – consumer business, Americas 1, Wipro Limited, said.
