Wipro Signs $1 Bn Deal with Olam Group to Acquire Mindsprint
The deal includes a committed spend of $800 million and will see Wipro deliver end-to-end transformation services to Olam.
Wipro has signed a deal worth over $1 billion—one of its largest ever—to acquire Mindsprint, the IT division of Olam Group.
"Securing one of our largest multi-year strategic transformation engagements with Olam Group and welcoming Mindsprint into Wipro, reinforces the strategy we are executing with intent – consulting-led, Wipro Intelligence™ powered, and anchored in deep industry expertise," Srini Pallia, Wipro CEO and Managing Director, said.
Olam has awarded an eight-year strategic transformation deal to Wipro with a committed annual spend of US$100 million. This amount would represent approximately 55- 60% of the annual total spend by the Group on technology and shared services.
“Mindsprint was built within Olam Group to address the unique complexities of global food and agribusiness value chains, and has since evolved into a trusted, domain-led transformation partner delivering measurable business outcomes. The platforms and capabilities we have developed have been instrumental in driving efficiency, resilience and growth across Olam Group’s operations. Becoming a part of Wipro marks the next phase of our journey, enabling us to scale these capabilities globally while continuing to deliver high-impact, customer-centric transformation for Olam Group and our broader client base,” Suresh Sundararajan, Mindsprint CEO, said.
Through the partnership, Wipro is expected to support Olam across technology modernisation, operational efficiency, and digital innovation initiatives. The acquisition of Mindsprint is aimed at strengthening Wipro’s capabilities in delivering integrated digital services, while also deepening its presence in key global markets.
"As we move forward, we remain grounded in what defines us: our entrepreneurial DNA, clarity of vision, and deep domain focus. At the same time, we will accelerate the development of our AI-first platforms and solutions to shape what’s next for the industries we serve," Nitesh Mirchandani, Mindsprint Chief Business Officer, said.
The agreement underscores Wipro’s strategy to scale high-value deals and expand its footprint in enterprise transformation projects powered by artificial intelligence and automation. It also highlights increasing demand among global enterprises for partners that can deliver comprehensive, long-duration digital transformation programs.
For Olam, the deal is expected to accelerate its technology roadmap while enabling access to advanced capabilities in cloud, data, and AI.
