Veeam Software has announced plans to acquire Securiti AI, a data privacy management firm, in a deal valued at $1.73 billion. The acquisition aims to enhance Veeam’s capabilities in protecting and managing cloud data, especially as enterprises increasingly leverage artificial intelligence in their operations.

The deal will see Securiti AI’s flagship Data Command Center — a platform designed to unify and secure data across multiple cloud environments — integrated with Veeam’s backup and recovery software. Together, the companies plan to deliver a comprehensive solution that combines data protection, governance, and compliance in a single offering.

With cybersecurity incidents and data breaches on the rise, the acquisition positions Veeam to better compete with rivals such as Rubrik and Commvault Systems. “The integration of data privacy and security with backup and recovery is critical as organizations adopt AI-driven workflows,” the companies said in a joint statement.

Following the acquisition, Securiti AI CEO Rehan Jalil will join Veeam as president of security and AI. The transaction is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2025.
