Salesforce has been [awarded](https://investor.salesforce.com/news/news-details/2026/U-S--Army-Awards-Salesforce-5-6B-Contract-to-Accelerate-Military-Modernization-and-Department-of-War-Readiness/default.aspx?ref=theleftshift.com) a $5.6 billion, 10-year Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract by the U.S. Army to support a sweeping technology modernisation effort across the military, the company announced.

The agreement, executed through Computable Insights LLC, Salesforce’s wholly owned national security subsidiary, will empower the Army and Department of War (DOW) to leverage Salesforce’s cloud, data and AI technologies as the foundation for its future “agentic enterprise.”

According to Salesforce, the work aims to accelerate decision-making, optimise operations and enhance support for millions of active duty personnel, civilian staff and their families.

Under the contract, the Army will deploy the Missionforce National Security platform, which integrates trusted data and compliant cloud infrastructure to streamline workflows and consolidate fragmented systems into interoperable environments.

The platform is designed to cover functions from recruitment and training to readiness, logistics and benefits administration, providing real-time data and visibility across operations.

*“This new contract, which builds on more than a decade-long relationship between Salesforce and the U.S. Armed Forces, will operationalise Missionforce across the Army and DOW, delivering trusted data and seamless interoperability, and supporting the DOW’s transformation into an agentic enterprise."*

*"From recruiting to the tactical edge, Salesforce is equipping our forces with technology built for today’s dynamic environments—streamlining operations, increasing readiness, and enabling those who serve to stay focused on the mission,” said* [*Kendall Collins*](https://www.linkedin.com/in/kendallcollins/?ref=theleftshift.com)*, CEO of Missionforce and Government Cloud at Salesforce.*

The IDIQ contract includes a five-year base period and a five-year optional extension, with funding drawn as specific task orders are issued.
