TCS Splits AI Cloud Unit into Two to Accelerate Growth
Launched in August 2023, the AI Cloud initiative was designed to leverage generative AI and cloud computing for enterprise transformation.

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has reorganised its AI Cloud division into two dedicated business units—AI and Cloud—to accelerate growth in artificial intelligence-led services.
Launched in August 2023, the AI Cloud initiative was designed to leverage generative AI and cloud computing for enterprise transformation.
Siva Ganesan, now leading the AI unit, said, “AI is becoming increasingly pervasive and will only intensify going forward.”
Krishna Mohan will head the newly separated cloud division, while Ashok Krish and Satish Byravan have been appointed global heads of AI and Data, respectively.
The move, described by company officials as strategic, aims to tap into the vast, largely untapped potential of both AI and cloud.
TCS is ramping up hiring of AI specialists and updating training programmes for employees.
The company will also provide integrated AI and data solutions for clients lacking AI-ready infrastructure.
