# TCS Plans 1GW Compute Campus in Hyderabad

HyperVault, a subsidiary of Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), has secured 264 acres of land in Hyderabad to develop an AI data centre campus with capacity of up to 1GW.

The campus will be purpose-built for frontier AI companies and hyperscalers, supporting high-density GPU deployments for AI training, inference and advanced computing workloads. The development will be carried out in phases, based on customer demand and evolving technology requirements.

At full capacity, the facility is expected to rank among India’s largest and most advanced AI infrastructure campuses. HyperVault plans to incorporate green energy and water-neutral design principles into the project, while the development is expected to create several thousand direct and indirect jobs across the region.

HyperVault and its partners are expected to invest up to Rs 70,000 crore in developing and managing the infrastructure. The project is also expected to drive activity across the wider AI infrastructure ecosystem, including power, cooling, networking, construction, engineering and data center operations.

Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy described the project as “historic” for both the state and India.
