TCS Partners with CEA to Power Next-Gen Robots and AI Systems
The collaboration will focus on building scalable AI-driven solutions across sectors such as manufacturing & logistics.

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has announced a strategic partnership with CEA, one of the world’s most innovative research institutions, to accelerate the development and industrialisation of Physical AI solutions.
Physical AI combines robotics, artificial intelligence, and intelligent systems to help machines perceive, interpret, and interact with the physical world—advancing industrial modernisation and efficiency.
TCS and CEA will deliver Physical AI solutions, including proofs of concept, training, and support. Collaboration will focus on three areas: versatile robots that adapt to dynamic tasks, advanced human-robot collaboration for safe and efficient industrial use, and socially assistive robots designed to interact with and support people in personalised contexts.
Alexandre Bounouh, Director of CEA-List, said, "We are delighted to collaborate with TCS to accelerate the diffusion of Physical AI technologies in industry. This partnership will enable us to connect cutting-edge research with the concrete needs of businesses and to jointly invent the intelligent systems of tomorrow."
Key areas of innovation include versatile robots, advanced human-robot collaboration, and socially assistive robots. Highlighting the impact, Rammohan Gourneni, Managing Director – TCS France, said, "Physical AI is a key technology for the future of industry, as it combines the power of AI with the intelligence of physical systems. This partnership marks an important step in supporting our clients in their industrial transformation.”
This partnership will leverage the TCS Pace Port™ Paris innovation hub, reinforcing TCS’ long-term commitment to driving AI adoption in France and Europe.
