TCS Launches Physical AI Gemini Experience Centre in Michigan
TCS said it plans to operate 13 Gemini Experience Centres worldwide by the end of 2026.
Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has launched its seventh Gemini Experience Centre at its Innovation Hub in Troy, Michigan, expanding its global collaboration with Google Cloud to develop artificial intelligence solutions for the manufacturing sector.
The new facility will focus on Physical AI, a technology approach that combines robotics, sensors, edge computing and cloud-based intelligence to improve safety, quality and operational efficiency on factory floors. The centre is part of the companies’ broader plan to scale AI innovation globally.
TCS said it plans to operate 13 Gemini Experience Centres worldwide by the end of 2026, with six additional facilities scheduled to launch later this year. The centres are designed to help enterprises move beyond small-scale AI experiments and deploy production-ready AI systems across operations.
The Troy facility features the TCS Physical AI Blueprint, an end-to-end framework integrating quadruped and humanoid robotics with advanced sensing and secure cloud orchestration.
The platform enables manufacturers to test use cases such as autonomous patrolling and surveillance, environmental anomaly detection, PPE compliance monitoring, intelligent quality inspection and predictive equipment maintenance.
“Physical AI is where intelligence moves to the edge—into the real world of operations. With the launch of our Physical AI Gemini Experience Centre for Manufacturing, we are enabling manufacturers to extend visibility and decision-making into environments that are difficult, risky, or inefficient for humans to access,” said Anupam Singhal, President – Manufacturing at TCS.
Saurabh Tiwary, VP and General Manager, Cloud AI, Google Cloud, said, “Through the new Physical AI Gemini Experience Centre, we are equipping global manufacturers with the intelligence to build more autonomous, resilient, and data-driven enterprises, allowing them to fully optimise their business models with Google Cloud’s leading technology.”
Through demonstrations and workshops, the centre will allow manufacturers to test AI systems designed to enable more autonomous and data-driven industrial operations.
Last year, TCS established a Google Cloud Gemini Experience Centre within the TCS Pace Studio in Riyadh.
