TCS Launches Chiplet-Based System Engineering Services to Boost India’s Semiconductor Ambitions

MUMBAI | INDIA, September 11, 2025: Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has announced the launch of its Chiplet-based System Engineering Services, aimed at helping semiconductor companies overcome traditional chip design limitations.

By leveraging chiplets—small integrated circuits that can be assembled into larger processors—TCS is enabling chipmakers to deliver faster, more efficient, and powerful processors at a time when global semiconductor demand is surging.

The country’s semiconductor market, valued at $45–50 billion in FY 2024–25, is projected to double to $100–110 billion by 2030. With the government’s ₹76,000 crore India Semiconductor Mission and India’s pool of 20% of the world’s chip design engineers, TCS’ services are expected to accelerate India’s rise as a global semiconductor hub.

“TCS Chiplet-based System Engineering services will help semiconductor enterprises accelerate chiplets tapeout driving flexibility, scalability and faster time to market,” V Rajanna, President, Technology, Software and Services, TCS, said.

Chiplet-based design is emerging as a critical solution to industry bottlenecks, allowing companies to mix and match smaller chips for AI, cloud computing, EVs, and mobile devices.

TCS is already working with a North American semiconductor major to streamline heterogeneous chip integration, helping bring advanced AI processors to market faster.
