Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has announced an expansion of its decade-long partnership with Morrisons, one of the UK’s largest supermarket chains, which operates 500 stores serving 11 million customers weekly.

The renewed multi-year agreement will see TCS drive operational alignment across Morrisons’ retail, e-commerce, and marketing functions to enhance efficiency and accelerate the grocer’s digital transformation.

The collaboration aims to advance Morrisons’ strategic priorities by optimising operations, transforming its loyalty program, and improving customer engagement.

TCS will deliver end-to-end engineering services—including application design, testing, and maintenance—while modernising legacy systems and embedding AI-powered solutions. A new automation factory and Business Intelligent Command Centre (BICC) will be established to enable proactive issue resolution and data-driven decision-making, reducing manual interventions and service disruptions.

Since partnering in 2014, TCS and Morrisons have collaborated on multiple modernization initiatives, including supply chain transformation and HR digitization.
