TCS and C-DAC Partner to Accelerate India’s Sovereign Cloud Ecosystem
The initiative is expected to enhance secure hosting for government applications such as e-Sanjeevani, Dial 112, and workloads from central ministries.

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC) to fast-track the development of India’s sovereign cloud ecosystem.
Under the collaboration, TCS will integrate C-DAC’s indigenous innovations into its sovereign cloud stack to create scalable, AI-enabled platforms that comply with India’s data localisation mandates.
" By collaborating with C-DAC, we are combining indigenous R&D, public sector infrastructure, and TCS’ enterprise expertise to deliver secure, scalable, and future-ready cloud platforms tailored to the needs of a digitally empowered India," Girish Ramachandran, President – Growth Markets, TCS, said.
The initiative is expected to enhance secure hosting for government applications such as e-Sanjeevani, Dial 112, and workloads from central ministries. Beyond compliance, the collaboration aims to improve performance and accelerate cloud adoption across key sectors, including healthcare, defence, smart cities, and banking and financial services.
“This collaboration marks a significant milestone in India’s journey toward technological self-reliance. By bringing together C-DAC’s expertise in indigenous innovation with TCS’ deep industry presence and execution strength, we aim to accelerate the development, deployment, and long-term sustainability of sovereign cloud platforms,” Magesh Ethirajan, Director General – C-DAC, added.
The initiative reflects a broader push to reduce dependence on global hyperscalers by creating a robust, future-ready ecosystem based on OpenStack and indigenous technologies.
