# Swiggy Elevates Nitesh Garg to Instamart CTO

Swiggy has promoted longtime engineering executive [Nitesh Garg](https://www.linkedin.com/in/niteshgarg/?ref=theleftshift.com) as Chief Technology Officer of its quick-commerce business Instamart, as the company strengthens its leadership team following the appointment of former Myntra chief [Nandita Sinha](https://www.linkedin.com/in/nandita-sinha-3020275/?ref=theleftshift.com) as Instamart CEO.

Garg, who has spent more than seven years at Swiggy, has led engineering for Instamart, Swiggy’s Food Marketplace and other businesses since their inception. He built the technology powering the consumer experience and the supply-chain systems supporting its dark stores and warehouse network.

He has also built foundational platforms spanning growth, revenue, consumer loyalty and supply chain, with these systems now supporting Instamart, Swiggy’s Food Marketplace and other businesses.

Garg joined [Swiggy](https://www.theleftshift.com/swiggy-launches-builders-club-opens-its-ai-engine-developers/) in December 2018 as Vice President of Engineering and became Senior Vice President in April 2022\. Before Swiggy, he was Head of Engineering at healthcare platform Practo and held engineering leadership roles at mobile advertising company InMobi.

His earlier career includes technology roles at Oracle, Summa Technologies and Deloitte Consulting.

The elevation is part of a broader internal leadership reshuffle at Swiggy. [Himavant Srikrishna Kurnala](https://www.linkedin.com/in/kurnala/?ref=theleftshift.com), who joined the company in 2024, has been elevated to Chief Growth and Product Officer at Instamart, while [Saurav Goyal](https://www.linkedin.com/in/sauravgoyal/?ref=theleftshift.com), who joined Swiggy in 2020, has been appointed Chief Operating Officer of the Food Marketplace.
