SuperGaming Raises $15 mn at 5x Valuation to Fuel Global Gaming Push

Pune-based online gaming company SuperGaming has raised $15 million in a fresh funding round, valuing the company at around $100 million—nearly 5x its 2021 valuation of $21 million. Previously, the startup raised $5 million.

The funds will also support game developers lacking the backend infrastructure SuperGaming provides.

SuperGaming, known for Indian-made titles like MaskGun and Indus Battle Royale, plans to deploy the fresh capital for global expansion, focusing on emerging markets with underrepresented cultures such as the Middle East and Latin America. The company is partnering with LOUD.GG to launch Indus in Latin America.

"We see a market of USD 5 to 7 million from the business Indus is doing, but in the emerging markets, revenues are expected to be 3 times better than what we do inside of India. In markets like Brazil or even in Europe, we are seeing that monetisation is 3 to 5 times better," SuperGaming CEO and Co-founder Roby John said.

Skycatcher’s Sia Kamalie said, “We led their Series A in 2021 and are leaning further into our original thesis with this round.”

The latest round was led by Skycatcher and Steadview Capital, with participation from prominent global and Web3-focused investors including a16z Speedrun, Bandai Namco 021 Fund, Neowiz, Polygon Ventures, and Sandeep Nailwal, among others. Existing backers AET Japan, BACE Capital, and Skycatcher also doubled down on their investments.
