Submer Expands into India, Aims to Make Country a Hub for Sustainable Data Centres
The company will forge partnerships with leading OEMs and ODMs

NEW DELHI, INDIA — September 26, 2025 — Data centre solutions provider Submer has announced its strategic expansion into India, positioning the country as a central hub for manufacturing and serving the Asian region.
According to the company, unlike developed markets constrained by legacy cooling systems, India offers a clean slate to build future-ready, high-density facilities. Submer plans to introduce its advanced liquid cooling technology, which reduces both energy and water consumption, lowering environmental impact while cutting operational costs.
"India's digital transformation is unparalleled, and its lack of legacy infrastructure provides a perfect canvas for building the data centers of the future today," said Patrick Smets, CEO, Submer. "We're not just bringing our technology to India; we're establishing a new paradigm for sustainable digital growth. We aim to make India the model for how a nation can achieve massive data center scale while championing environmental stewardship.”
The company will forge partnerships with leading OEMs and ODMs to integrate its solutions into high-performance compute infrastructure, while also setting up a manufacturing facility in India to serve as a production and export hub for Asia.
In addition, Submer will focus on ecosystem development through workforce training programmes and government collaborations. The initiative is expected to create over 5,000 jobs in Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) roles.
"We believe in a holistic approach to market entry," added Dev Tyagi, President - UK, Ireland & India. "By investing in skill development, we are not only ensuring the successful deployment of our technology but also creating long-term, high-value employment for Indian youth. This is how we build a truly sustainable and self-reliant digital economy."
