Snowflake Unveils Major AI Upgrades to Speed Enterprise Agentic AI Adoption

AI data cloud giant Snowflake has announced a sweeping range of product enhancements aimed at helping enterprises build and deploy agentic AI applications faster and more securely.

At the center of the launch is Snowflake Intelligence, now generally available to over 12,000 customers worldwide. The enterprise intelligence agent enables users to access and analyze structured, unstructured, and semi-structured data through natural language, all within Snowflake’s secure environment.

“For more than a decade, Snowflake has served as a cornerstone of global enterprises’ data strategies. Our next evolution is about bringing AI to this data, allowing every customer to unlock intelligence that is uniquely their own. Our latest enhancements democratise the power of AI so every employee can make smarter and faster decisions,” Christian Kleinerman, EVP of Product at Snowflake, said.

Over 1,000 customers, including Cisco, Toyota Motor Europe, and TS Imagine, have already deployed more than 15,000 AI agents using Snowflake Intelligence. The platform’s Agent GPA (goal, plan, action) framework enhances the reliability of AI outputs, powered by models from partners like Anthropic.

Other key updates include improvements to Horizon Catalog and Openflow for multi-cloud data connectivity, Interactive Tables and Warehouses for real-time analytics, and deeper Postgres integration following the acquisition of Crunchy Data.

Snowflake also introduced developer-focused tools such as Cortex Code, Cortex AISQL, and Snowpark Connect for Apache Spark, enabling teams to build, test, and deploy AI apps within a unified, governed environment.
