SAP Completes Acquisition of SmartRecruiters to Strengthen AI-Powered Hiring

WALLDORF — SAP today announced the completion of its acquisition of SmartRecruiters, a leading provider of enterprise-grade talent acquisition software. The move underscores SAP’s strategy to expand its SuccessFactors Human Capital Management (HCM) suite with advanced AI-enabled recruiting tools.

SmartRecruiters, widely recognised for its intuitive workflows and candidate-friendly platform, will now be integrated into SAP SuccessFactors. The integration is designed to streamline the entire hiring lifecycle—from sourcing and candidate engagement to onboarding—while reducing time-to-hire and delivering richer analytics for workforce planning.

It currently powers hiring for over 4,000 global enterprises, including Amazon, Visa, and McDonald’s, and will now form part of SAP’s broader workforce management portfolio.

With the acquisition, SAP customers will also gain access to enhanced automation and AI-driven insights to improve both recruiter efficiency and the overall candidate experience.

Importantly, existing SmartRecruiters customers will retain flexibility, with the ability to continue using SmartRecruiters with SAP or other HCM platforms.
