Salesforce Acquires Convergence.ai to Bolster Agentforce Platform and AI Capabilities
Once finalised, the acquisition will see Convergence’s team and technology integrated into Agentforce

Salesforce has announced a definitive agreement to acquire UK-based Convergence.ai, a startup known for building adaptive AI agents capable of navigating complex digital interfaces and performing intricate human-like tasks.
These agents can dynamically respond to changing environments, including pop-ups, errors, and interface updates.
Once finalised, the acquisition will see Convergence’s team and technology integrated into Agentforce—Salesforce’s AI agent platform launched in September 2024.
The move is set to accelerate the platform’s development, enabling more sophisticated, end-to-end task automation across industries.
Convergence’s team is expected to play a pivotal role in driving Salesforce’s broader AI strategy, fueling innovation in advanced research, task automation, and tailored industry-specific solutions.
“The next wave of customer interaction and employee productivity will be driven by highly capable AI agents that can navigate the complexities of today’s digital work. Convergence’s innovative approach to building adaptive, intelligent agents is incredibly impressive,” Adam Evans, EVP & GM of Salesforce AI Platform, said.
Convergence engineers will gain access to greater resources and a broader mandate under Salesforce, unlocking faster innovation.
“The future of business automation isn’t limited to single, scripted tasks – it lies in end-to-end, decision-driven workflows where multiple agents collaborate and hand off seamlessly. Our mission at Convergence is to help organisations stop viewing automation as just another tool and instead adopt it as the very way work gets done,” Marvin Purtorab, Convergence CEO, said.
The deal is expected to close in Q2 FY2026, pending customary approvals. Financial terms remain undisclosed.
