# QuID Appoints Former Salesforce Leader Arumugam P. as CTO

QuID has appointed [Arumugam P](https://www.linkedin.com/in/arumugamtp/?ref=theleftshift.com). as its Chief Technology Officer (CTO), bringing more than a decade of experience across technology strategy, engineering, cloud security, data platforms, artificial intelligence and digital transformation.

QuID is a technology company focused on building solutions that help micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) operate more efficiently and unlock their full business potential. 

In his new role, Arumugam will lead QuID’s technology strategy as the company builds solutions designed to help micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) operate more efficiently and reach their full potential.

Arumugam joins QuID after nearly three years at [Salesforce](https://www.theleftshift.com/why-is-salesforce-introducing-coding-directly-in-slack/), where he served as an Engineering Leader and Director of Engineering. His work included building cloud security and data-driven platforms handling millions of cloud assets and millions of records daily. He also led the general availability of Salesforce’s Data Detect and Shield capabilities, helping address sensitive data risks across structured and unstructured data environments.

Before Salesforce, Arumugam was a Principal at Boston Consulting Group (BCG), where he advised businesses on technology strategy, engineering, data, cloud and AI/ML-led transformation. He also served as an interim CTO/CIO for a leading private general insurance company, overseeing a technology organisation of more than 160 employees.

Earlier in his career, Arumugam held senior engineering and data leadership roles at Visa and Exotel. At Visa, he led a global data engineering team, while at Exotel he worked across data, infrastructure and billing systems, helping scale the platform to support higher transaction volumes and revenue growth.

Arumugam holds an Executive Post Graduate Diploma in Management from IIM Kozhikode and a B.E. (Hons.) from BITS Pilani.
