Powerplay has launched what it calls India’s first AI Workforce platform for the construction sector, introducing five domain-trained AI agents aimed at automating critical workflows across estimation, procurement, finance and project management.

The platform is built on operational data from more than 85,000 construction projects processed through Powerplay’s software over the past four years. This dataset includes bills of quantities, procurement cycles and compliance records, enabling the company to develop standardized execution playbooks that power its AI systems.

According to the company, early deployments have shown significant efficiency gains, reducing estimation timelines from weeks to minutes and improving productivity by 50–60% across key workflows.

The platform includes AI agents for estimation, procurement, supplier qualification, demand forecasting and compliance, all trained on real-world construction processes such as drawings, vendor purchase orders and GST requirements.

Powerplay said it maintains up to 99% accuracy by keeping humans in the loop to validate AI outputs before final decisions are made, allowing it to adopt an outcome-based pricing model.

“What we’re seeing globally is the rise of vertical AI - systems trained on real workflows that can automate work in industries that were previously too complex for generic software. Construction, with its fragmented processes and heavy reliance on manual coordination, is one of the most consequential frontiers for that shift.

"For us, AI was a natural evolution - the models finally caught up to the data we had built over the years. Our ambition is to make sure India is not just adopting this transformation, but helping lead it,” said Iesh Dixit, Founder and CEO of Powerplay.

Founded in 2020 by Dixit and Shubham Goyal, Powerplay plans to expand its AI capabilities across the full construction lifecycle, targeting contractors and infrastructure developers seeking greater efficiency and predictability.
