Each morning, users receive curated visual “cards” covering topics that matter to them — from follow-ups on ongoing projects and goal progress, to dinner tips, meeting agendas, or event ideas. These cards are meant to be scan-friendly, with deeper detail available if tapped.
"Pulse is a new experience where ChatGPT proactively does research to deliver personalised updates based on your chats, feedback, and connected apps like your calendar," OpenAI said in a blog post.
Connections to Gmail and Google Calendar are optional and off by default; if enabled, they allow Pulse to generate contextually relevant suggestions, such as travel tips for scheduled trips or drafting a meeting agenda. All content is subject to safety filters and respects user preferences.
OpenAI describes Pulse as the first step toward an AI assistant that can anticipate your needs rather than waiting for prompts. The company plans to refine the experience based on user feedback and eventually extend Pulse to Plus and free-tier users.
