Nintendo has confirmed that the retail price of its upcoming Switch 2 console will remain at $449.99, despite growing concerns over price hikes linked to new U.S. tariff policies under the Trump administration.

The "Mario Kart World" bundle will retail for $499.99, while exclusive titles such as “Mario Kart World” and “Donkey Kong Bananza” will be priced at $79.99 and $69.99, respectively, according to the company.

While the console and game prices are holding steady, some accessory prices are increasing. The Joy-Con, initially listed at $89.99, will now cost $94.99\. The Pro Controller has risen from $79.99 to $84.99, and the Switch 2 camera has jumped from $49.99 to $54.99.

Following an earlier delay, Nintendo announced it will open pre-orders in the U.S. on April 24\. Major retailers, including Best Buy, GameStop, Target, and Walmart, have confirmed they will begin accepting pre-orders on the same day.

Preorders were originally scheduled for April 9 but were postponed as Nintendo evaluated the potential impact of new tariffs, including a 145% levy on China and 10% on Vietnam.

The company, like many tech firms, including Apple, relies heavily on manufacturing in these regions. Though the U.S. has announced a 90-day pause on some of Vietnam’s additional duties, a 10% baseline tariff now applies to imports from all countries.
