# New Relic Appoints Manivannan Govindan to Lead Enterprise Sales in Asia

New Relic has appointed [Manivannan Govindan](https://www.linkedin.com/in/manigovindan/?ref=theleftshift.com) as Senior Director of Enterprise Sales, Asia, bringing over 25 years of experience in monitoring and observability sales from roles at Cisco, Amazon, and CA Technologies. 

His last role was with Splunk as a Senior Director, Sales.

Based in Singapore, Govindan joins a seasoned regional leadership team focused on expanding New Relic’s presence across Asia Pacific.

Govindan’s appointment comes at a time when observability tools are in high demand, with businesses across Asia modernising IT operations and embracing hybrid cloud strategies. 

> “Customers in Asia are rapidly driving digital transformation and adopting multi-cloud and containerised applications, while retaining complex backends in hybrid architectures,” Govindan said.

Simon Lee, Senior Vice President for Asia Pacific and Japan, praised Govindan’s expertise, noting Asia’s significant growth potential in both traditional and digital-native sectors. 

The announcement follows enhancements to New Relic’s Partner Programme and the launch of 20+ AI-powered innovations within its Intelligent Observability Platform, aimed at optimising performance, reducing cloud costs, and supporting digital transformation.
