Meta Brings Oakley AI Smart Glasses to India With UPI Payments and Fitness-Focused Features
Prices start at ₹52,300, with sales beginning today through Sunglass Hut and LensCrafters stores across India.
Meta has launched its new AI-powered Oakley Meta Vanguard smart glasses in India, expanding its wearables portfolio with a product designed specifically for high-intensity sports such as running and cycling.
Developed in partnership with Oakley, the Vanguard glasses mark a new category of performance-focused smart eyewear, combining fitness integrations, an action-ready camera, and open-ear audio for athletes in training.
The Oakley Meta Vanguard is available in four frame and lens combinations, including Black with PRIZM 24K and White with PRIZM Sapphire. Prices start at ₹52,300, with sales beginning today through Sunglass Hut and LensCrafters stores across India.
The India launch follows Meta’s rollout of Ray-Ban Meta (Gen 2) glasses in the country last year, priced from ₹39,900. In January 2026, Meta paused the global rollout of its Ray-Ban Display glasses and Neural Band, citing inventory constraints and strong demand in the US.
The Vanguard glasses feature Meta AI with support for Hindi, Telugu, and Kannada, along with optional celebrity voices, including Bollywood actor Deepika Padukone in English.
The device will also introduce UPI Lite payments, allowing users to scan QR codes and make transactions under ₹1,000 using voice commands.
Built with Oakley’s PRIZM lenses, the glasses offer IP67 dust and water resistance, up to nine hours of battery life, and integrations with Garmin and Strava for performance tracking. Users can overlay fitness metrics on captured photos and videos and share them directly across social platforms.
