# Lohia Corp Elevates Jagdip Kumar to Chief Digital and Information Officer

Lohia Corp Limited has elevated [Jagdip Kumar](https://www.linkedin.com/in/jagdip-kumar-60936113/?skipRedirect=true&ref=theleftshift.com) from Chief Information Officer (CIO) to Chief Digital and Information Officer (CDIO), expanding his mandate to include digital strategy, artificial intelligence and new technology-led business initiatives.

Kumar announced the transition on LinkedIn, describing it as a shift in the role of technology from primarily enabling business operations to helping shape business strategy, innovation, customer experience and new sources of value.

In his new CDIO role, Kumar said his focus will include AI and GenAI-driven transformation and decision-making, data-led innovation, intelligent operations, connected customer and employee experiences, and digital products and platforms.

He joined Lohia Corp as CIO in December 2020 and spent more than five years leading the company’s technology strategy and digital transformation efforts across its group companies. 

During his tenure, Kumar led the modernisation of IT infrastructure, security and enterprise systems, including the migration of Lohia’s SAP landscape to the “RISE with SAP” [SaaS model](https://www.theleftshift.com/why-is-salesforce-introducing-coding-directly-in-slack/).

His work also included deploying more than 400 cameras across shop floors, using AI and machine learning to measure product-wise workforce productivity. He also introduced SD-WAN with a zero-downtime architecture, refreshed network infrastructure across plants and offices to support Wi-Fi 6 and IoT, and automated processes connecting ERP and R&D systems.

Kumar also implemented robotic process automation for vendor invoice booking, reducing the requirement for four full-time employees, and established access controls and segregation of duties to reduce business-process risks.

Before joining Lohia Corp, Kumar spent more than a decade at Cosmo Films, where he held several technology leadership positions, including General Manager and Head of IT. 

At Cosmo, he led initiatives spanning RPA, AI, IoT, machine learning and AR/VR, while also establishing an incubation centre focused on technology-driven business improvements.

Earlier, Kumar led Cosmo Films’ SAP HANA Enterprise Cloud upgrade, a project that earned recognition through the SAP ACE 2018 Award. He also oversaw implementations involving SAP SuccessFactors, CRM, cloud-based email, RFID tracking and mobility solutions.
