# Karnataka Unveils India’s First Major Quantum Summit: QIB 2025 to Showcase Global Pioneers, Homegrown Innovation

The Karnataka Science and Technology Promotion Society (KSTePS), in partnership with the IISc Quantum Technology Initiative (IQTI), today unveiled the Quantum India Bengaluru Summit (QIB 2025) at a curtain raiser event held at the Jawaharlal Nehru Planetarium. 

Scheduled for July 31 – August 1, 2025, at Hotel Hilton, Bengaluru, QIB 2025 will be India’s first large-scale summit focused on quantum research, technology, and business.

> Speaking at the launch, Shri N.S. Boseraju, Minister for Science & Technology, said, *“Quantum India Bengaluru is not just a summit; it is a signal of intent... In the coming days, we will unveil Karnataka’s Quantum Action Plan.”*

With the theme ‘Building a Quantum Ecosystem: Qubits to Society’, the summit will focus on five key areas—quantum computing, AI & finance, hardware, healthcare & security, and societal impact. Keynote speakers include Nobel Laureates Prof. Duncan Haldane, Prof. David Gross, and Prof. Tommaso Calarco, among other global thought leaders.

QIB 2025 will also host a tech showcase, startup pitch sessions, and a Quantum Poster Showcase for students and researchers.

Prof. Arindam Ghosh, Chair of QIB 2025, said, *“We are uniting innovation with real-world impact… across computing, healthcare, strategic security and more.”*
