HCLTech and NVIDIA Launch New Physical AI Innovation Lab in California
The facility becomes part of HCLTech’s global AI Lab network and will support organisations in experimenting with, incubating and scaling advanced physical AI applications.
HCLTech and NVIDIA have opened a new Physical AI Innovation Lab in Santa Clara, California, designed to help global enterprises accelerate adoption of physical AI, automation and cognitive robotics.
The facility becomes part of HCLTech’s global AI Lab network and will support organisations in experimenting with, incubating and scaling advanced physical AI applications.
The lab combines NVIDIA’s full technology stack—including NVIDIA Omniverse, NVIDIA Metropolis, NVIDIA Isaac Sim, NVIDIA Jetson and NVIDIA Holoscan—with HCLTech’s physical AI solutions such as VisionX, Kinetic AI, IEdgeX and SmartTwin.
Together, these technologies will allow Global 2000 companies to simulate, test and deploy robotics, edge intelligence and autonomous systems aimed at improving operational efficiency and competitiveness.
“Generative physical AI is set to revolutionise industrial automation, but bridging the gap from digital simulation to real-world deployment remains a critical challenge,” said Deepu Talla, VP of robotics and edge AI at NVIDIA. “HCLTech’s innovation lab will help enterprises develop, test and validate the complex autonomous systems needed to turn AI ambitions into operational reality.”
HCLTech CTO Vijay Guntur said the collaboration significantly deepens the companies’ strategic partnership in industrial and physical AI. “By combining HCLTech’s global AI Engineering capabilities with NVIDIA’s cutting-edge platforms, this new collaboration marks a pivotal step in strengthening our synergy in the Physical AI space,” he said. “It empowers enterprises to reimagine physical operations, driving breakthroughs in robotics, automation, safety and operational intelligence.”
HCLTech noted that its physical AI portfolio integrates robotics, autonomous systems, digital twins and intelligent edge technologies. The company is already working with major global clients, including a port operator, a leading hi-tech company and a European mining company.
