Google Cloud has appointed Sashikumar Sreedharan as its new Managing Director for India, signaling a strategic leadership shift as the company deepens its AI-driven expansion in one of its fastest-growing markets.
Sreedharan succeeds Bikram Singh Bedi, who will now focus on regional strategic priorities across the Asia Pacific (APAC) region.
A tech industry veteran, Sreedharan joined Google Cloud in 2023 as APAC Chief Operating Officer. He previously served as Managing Director at Microsoft India and held senior roles at SAP and IBM.
“My time as APAC COO has deeply affirmed my belief in Google Cloud’s winning strategy and powerful AI-first platform,” he said. “I am excited to return to the field and to work with our customers to advance their innovation agenda.”
Backed by rising demand for AI tools, Google Cloud has seen significant traction in India. Companies like HDFC Bank, Tech Mahindra, and Dream11 are adopting its solutions to “innovate at scale.”
