Google Announces 'AI Futures Fund' to Invest in Startups
The fund has already backed platforms like synthesia

Google has unveiled the AI Futures Fund, a new initiative aimed at investing in startups leveraging the latest AI tools from Google DeepMind.
The fund will support companies from seed to late-stage. According to Google, startups will get access to DeepMind models like Gemini, Imagen, and Veo. They also receive hands-on support from Google experts, Google Cloud credits with technical assistance, and the chance for direct equity investment to scale their AI-driven products and innovations.
Unlike traditional accelerator programmes, the AI Futures Fund operates without fixed deadlines, evaluating companies on a rolling basis.
Investment size and support levels vary depending on the startup’s stage and strategic fit.
The fund has already backed platforms like synthesia and Harvey. Applications open May 12.
