Google Adds Booking and Ticketing Features to AI Mode in Search
Available to users in the U.S. via Search Labs, the update enables AI Mode to not only answer queries but also take action.
Google has expanded the capabilities of its AI Mode within Search, introducing new agentic features that let users book event tickets and beauty or wellness appointments directly through conversational prompts.
Available to users in the U.S. via Search Labs, the update enables AI Mode to not only answer queries but also take action.
For instance, users can now ask, “Find me two cheap tickets for the Shaboozey concert coming up—prefer standing floor tickets.”
The AI then scans multiple websites, compares options, and presents a curated list with links to complete the booking.
Earlier this year, Google launched a new AI-powered tool called Flight Deals within Google Flights, aimed at helping budget-conscious travelers find the best airfares without endless searches.
Similarly, AI Mode can now handle restaurant reservations and appointments based on parameters such as date, time, location, and cuisine.
A user could say, “Find a dinner reservation for three this Friday after 6 p.m. near Logan Square—craving ramen or bibimbap,” and the system will surface real-time availability across platforms.
“Our priority in Google Search is connecting you with high-quality information you can rely on,” Google said on its Search Labs page, noting that the feature is still experimental and may make mistakes.
First launched in March, AI Mode has expanded to over 180 countries and continues to evolve as Google positions Search against AI-driven rivals like Perplexity and ChatGPT.
