Collaborative design platform Figma has opened its first office in India, located in Bengaluru, marking a major milestone in its global expansion. The Bengaluru office joins Figma’s global network spanning New York, London, Tokyo, and Singapore.
Alongside the launch, Figma introduced new AI-powered design tools and released research highlighting India’s rapid adoption of AI in design workflows.
“Today India is our second-largest active user market. As it evolves into a global software and manufacturing hub, the value of design will only grow,” said Scott Pugh, APAC vice president of sales at Figma. “We’ve seen increasing demand from Indian companies, and with the office opening, we want to get closer to our users and the community here.”
Figma’s entire product suite — including Figma Design, Figma Make, Dev Mode, FigJam, Figma Slides, and Figma Buzz — is now available in India.
According to a YouGov survey commissioned by Figma, 93% of designers in India report their companies already use AI in design, while 85% say AI simplifies coding.
The company counts Airtel, CARS24, Groww, Myntra, Swiggy, and Zomato among its Indian clients, with over 40% of BSE100 companies using Figma products.
