Dell Names Manish Gupta as India MD Amid AI Expansion Push
Gupta, based in Bengaluru, will oversee Dell’s growth and sales strategy across India.

Dell Technologies has appointed Manish Gupta as the new president and managing director for India, effective immediately. He replaces Alok Ohrie, who is stepping down to focus on personal priorities.
Gupta, based in Bengaluru, will oversee Dell’s growth and sales strategy across India.
With over 25 years of experience in the IT sector — including more than a decade at Dell — he has held key leadership roles across global alliances, channel strategy, and the infrastructure solutions group.
“India presents immense opportunities, with businesses striving to harness technology for agility and competitive advantage. I look forward to working with our customers and partners as they navigate change and drive an AI-powered future,” Gupta said, highlighting Dell’s commitment to enabling businesses to adapt and innovate through AI.
His appointment comes as Dell doubles down on artificial intelligence. The company is building an AI Factory with NVIDIA GPUs to support Grok, the AI model developed by Elon Musk’s xAI.
Dell’s latest AI servers, powered by NVIDIA’s Blackwell platform, offer a 50x increase in inference output over previous models and are already being used in next-gen applications such as disease prevention and advanced manufacturing.
